Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DROPS Forum website, accounts, training, events, directories, digital tools, AI-connected features and other services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Services").

1. Who provides the Services?

The Services are operated by DROPS Asia:

In these Terms, "DROPS Asia", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Dropped Object Prevention Scheme Asia Pte Ltd. "DROPS Forum" refers to the website and connected services operated by DROPS Asia; it is not a separate contracting party.

2. Accepting these Terms

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. The Services are not designed for, or marketed to, children under 13. If local law requires parental or guardian consent for a minor to use a Service, that consent must be obtained before use.

3. Accounts and access

Some Services are public. Others require an account, an invitation, active membership, payment, employer sponsorship or another eligibility condition. You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in method secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account, except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures. Access rights are personal unless we expressly permit organisational administration or delegation.

4. Permitted use

You may use the Services for lawful professional, educational and personal purposes consistent with their intended functions. You must not:

• misuse, disrupt, overload or attempt to bypass the security of a Service;
• access accounts, records, systems or data without authorisation;
• use automated means in a way that breaches published technical limits or materially interferes with other users;
• introduce malicious code or use the Services to distribute unlawful, deceptive, infringing or harmful material;
• misrepresent a DROPS Forum result, certificate, verification, membership, partnership or listing as an approval, accreditation or safety guarantee;
• reverse engineer a Service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
• use the Services in breach of applicable law or another person's rights.

We may apply reasonable technical limits to protect availability, security and fair access.

5. Information, digital tools and AI-connected features

The Services may provide searches, calculations, comparisons, classifications, charts, summaries or other outputs ("Tool Outputs"). We may add or change tools over time. Each Tool Output is limited by the information supplied, its underlying data, assumptions and methods, and the time at which it was produced. Any tool-specific explanation, limitation or warning remains important when using that tool.

Tool Outputs and other DROPS Forum content support awareness and informed decision-making. They are not professional advice or a substitute for competent judgement, engineering analysis, applicable law, company procedures, manufacturer instructions or a task-specific risk assessment. In particular, no result, score, classification, chart, threshold or summary is a declaration that an activity is safe, a certification of a person or company, or an approval of any method or control unless we expressly identify it as such. Do not use a Tool Output as the sole basis for a decision affecting health, safety, the environment, assets or legal compliance. Check the inputs, units, source information and result, and seek appropriately qualified advice where the decision warrants it.

You may access tools directly or through a browser integration, Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection or other AI integration. An AI assistant operated by another provider is an independent service. We do not operate, supervise or control that assistant, its model, its conversation with you or its decisions. We cannot ensure that it finds or calls a DROPS Forum tool, chooses the right tool, sends complete and correct inputs, uses the latest response, preserves warnings and context, or presents Tool Outputs accurately. It may alter, omit, combine or invent information, or claim to have used a tool when it has not.

An assistant's narrative answer is not itself the authoritative DROPS Forum Tool Output, even if it describes one. Where available, check the original tool response, inputs, source, version and links, and independently assess any recommendation before acting on it. You and the people responsible for the work remain responsible for decisions, controls and compliance.

The Services are not an emergency service. In an emergency, follow your site's emergency arrangements and contact the appropriate emergency services.

6. Directory and third-party information

The company directory contains public summaries, service locations, relationships and status information assembled from DROPS Forum records and information supplied by listed organisations. Although we aim to keep it useful and current, you must verify information that matters to a commercial, technical or safety decision.

A listing, verification status or authorised-partner relationship describes the status recorded by DROPS Forum at the time shown. It is not a warranty of a company's work, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or continued status, and it is not an endorsement unless we expressly say otherwise.

Links, AI platforms and other third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

7. Training, events, membership and paid Services

Additional terms, booking details, eligibility rules, cancellation terms or commercial arrangements may apply to training, events, membership and paid Services. We will make them available with the relevant offering. If an offering-specific term conflicts with these Terms, the offering-specific term controls for that offering.

Certificates and public verification records show the status recorded in the Services. They must not be altered, misrepresented or used outside their stated scope.

8. Content you provide

You retain ownership of content you provide. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the Services, comply with law, and exercise or defend legal rights.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide the content and that it does not violate law or another person's rights. Do not put confidential, personal or commercially sensitive information into a public field or an AI prompt unless it is necessary and you are authorised to do so.

9. DROPS content and intellectual property

The Services, DROPS branding, software, page design, training materials, graphics, text and other content we provide are owned by us or used under licence. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services for their intended purpose.

Unless a Service or resource states otherwise, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, sublicense or create a competing product from our content without written permission. Rights granted by an open licence or applicable law remain unaffected.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Services available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, secure, update, add, limit or discontinue features, tools or integrations. We will give reasonable notice when practical if a material change adversely affects a paid Service.

Tool Outputs may change when an underlying model, directory record, source dataset or Service version changes. Where a result includes a version or timestamp, retain it with any record of the result.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. You may request account closure as described in the account area or Privacy Policy.

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the Services, address a security risk, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, enforce these Terms, or where an eligibility condition ends. Where practical, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Provisions that by their nature should continue after access ends—including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability and dispute provisions—will continue.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not make implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability or that every item of information is complete, current or error-free. We do not warrant that an independently operated AI assistant will invoke a DROPS Forum tool, transmit inputs accurately, reproduce a tool response faithfully or give correct, complete or safe advice.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law prohibits that limitation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DROPS Asia is not liable for any loss, damage or claim arising from or related to:

• a decision, action or omission based on DROPS Forum information, directory content or any Tool Output, including where it has not been independently verified or used with a task-specific assessment;
• the output, recommendation, action or omission of an AI assistant that we do not operate, including where it fails to call our tools, supplies incorrect inputs, misstates, changes or omits our response, combines it with other material, or invents a result; or
• the availability, security, accuracy or conduct of an AI platform or other third-party service that we do not control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are also not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or data, arising from use of the Services. These exclusions apply whether a claim is framed in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, but only to the extent the applicable law allows.

Your statutory rights and any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law remain unaffected. Specific paid offerings may set out additional liability arrangements in their offering-specific terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of laws principles. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact DROPS Asia about the DROPS Forum service at secretary@drops.asia so that we can try to resolve the issue.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the Services, risks or legal requirements change. The published Terms will show the effective date. If a material change affects an existing paid or account-based Service, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

16. General

If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganisation, merger, acquisition or transfer of the relevant Services.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable offering-specific terms, form the agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
